In a development that seems likely to destroy his career, the approval ratings to two-time Oscar Award winner Kevin Spacey, the actor who plays Frank Underwood, the fictional US President in HBO’s critically acclaimed drama House of Cards, have fallen to the levels of actual US President Donald Trump.

“Yes, Trump currently stands at 38 percent, which is the lowest approval rating of American Presidents since we started measuring them like this,” said Nate Silver, who runs the popular political statistics website called Five Thiry Eight. “That is the current approval rating of Kevin Spacey now, which is even lower than that of Nicholas Cage, the year Ghostrider came out.”

The career of Spacey, who reluctantly admitted to attempted paedophilia, seems completely over. The career of US President Donald Trump, on the other hand, doesn’t seem likely to be over.

“Come election time in 2020, we can expect Trump’s base to come back to him like a perpetually abused but forgiving spouse,” Silver concluded.
