ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has approved the leave request of PKR-USD stability, The Dependent has learnt.

The PKR-USD stability, in a letter to the Prime Minister, had requested a leave of absence, saying “I wish relief for now from looking after the three artificial divisions of Pakistan’s economy.”

The rupee-dollar stability that has been in hospital for most of the ongoing decade, requested the premier on Wednesday for a leave owing to its ailing health. He has been attending the clinic for treatment at the State Bank of Pakistan three times a week.

According to sources, the rupee-dollar stability spoke to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and took him into confidence before writing the letter to PM Abbasi. After which, Nawaz advised him that in current circumstances it was best to let the PKR-USD stability take a much needed break after almost two years of artificial injections.

Refuting the reports of the rupee price being clingy to the Rs 105 per dollar mark, health experts say that the price had never had any issues with unanimous decisions of the market, but it was not allowed to act in its best interests, through specially designed medicines at the SBP.

However, sources close to the rupee-dollar parity maintain that it will always respect the courts of the country and would appear before the courts when and if doctors would allow it to travel.
