ISLAMABAD – Corrupt politicians’ exports from the country increased by 16.53 percent during the first quarter of current fiscal year (July-September) as compared to the same period of last year, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
According to the data provided by the PBS, those guilty of corruption worth too many to calculate million dollars were exported during the first quarter of current year as compared to the calculable million dollars at the same time last year.
According to further data, the figure has remained on the up during the first month of the second quarter of current fiscal year (October-December). However, according to the latest graph, there was a dip seen on Thursday, November 2, with the total value of corruption also decreasing from too many to calculate million dollars to almost too many to calculate million dollars.
However, analysts believe that the exports would show the upward trend in the next couple of months.
“The trend might continue in the final two quarters of the ongoing fiscal year as well, leading up to the next general elections,” said Wali Baba from Illegal Insecurities Private Unlimited, while talking to The Dependent.
