JATI UMRAH PALACE – Rubbishing rumours and reports comparing the multi-billion ashrafis worth China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with the East India Company the nauratans of Emperor Sharif issued a pamphlet to prove the contrary.

The pamphlet entitled Ahkaam-e-Sharifi, available exclusively with The Dependent, clarifies that there’s absolutely nothing common between the colonialist enterprise that the East India Company was, and CPEC.

Ahkaam-e-Sharifi, penned by the durbar’s mir bakhshi, Ahsan Iqbal, and signed by the Royal Highness Emperor Sharif, says that in addition to the disparity between the fiscal ventures, there is a stark contrast between the governing regimes that are accused of abetting economic imperialism.

“Zil-e-Ilahi Shehenshah Nawaz Sharif and his nauratans namely Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Chaudhary Nisar, Rana Sanaullah, Khwaja Asif, Sartaj Aziz, Saad Rafique, Abid Sher Ali and Najam Sethi, wholeheartedly denounce all reports and claims trying to compare CPEC with the East India Company,” reads the Ahkam-e-Sharifi.

“This kingdom, governed by Aalam Panah, Sultan-e-Makaan, Shamsheer-e-Jahan, Nawaz, is not a monarchy. We live in times of democracy and this is a democratic empire, government by the Royal Sharif family,” it adds.

Talking to The Dependent naib wazir Ishaq Dar says that all assertions are distorted.

“As the naib wazir and the diwan who is in-charge of the empire’s bait-ul-maal I can assure you that the finances are in perfect order and are under no influence of anyone that we count as foreign,” Dar said. “There’s a reason why Shehenshah Nawaz is the Ameer-ul-Umrah – that’s how ameer he is.”

Meanwhile, the ariz-e-mamalik, Khwaja Asif, who is also serving as the mir bijli-paani says the borders of the realm are fully secure.

“The faujdars and kotwals have full control over security, which is exactly the way things should be in this realm,” he said.
