Basketball tournament begins at Khanewal
KHANEWAL - The All-Punjab Young Five Floodlight Basketball Tournament started at Khanewal here the other day. The tournament will continue till April 17 and a total 18 teams of districts are participating in it. The opening match was played between Young Five Club and BUT club.

UMT organises inter-varsity tapeball tournament
LAHORE - The University of Management and Technology (UMT) organised Spring Cricket Junoon, an inter-varsity tapeball cricket tournament from March 10 to 17. More than 20 teams from the UMT participated in the tournament. After the initial round of matches, the best players from UMT teams were selected and divided into two teams - UMT Blue and UMT Green, which played the semi finals. UMT Blue won the semi final and qualified for the final against the SKANS School of Accountancy. UMT

LAHORE - The East Zone Cricket Association Tournament Committee meeting held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Waqar-ul-Munir on Sunday to finalise the matches schedule.
The tournament Committee has declared that four clubs i.e Mughalpura Institute(Group A), Lucky Star (Group B), Ghalib Sports (Group C), Baghbanpura Eaglets (Group D) will play the quarter finals. Mughalpura Institute will face with Jallo Gym in quarter final.

KARACHI - NIT and Rover Cricket Club Karachi are jointly organising a limited-overs cricket tournament at the Aga Khan School Ground, adjacent to the Aga Khan Gymkhana in Garden East, from February 27.

LAHORE - East Zone Cricket Association Tournament Committee met here the other day and decided that no unregistered players would participate in the championship.
