LAHORE – The four-day Royal Palm Floodlit Cricket Tournament, endorsed and supported by Coke, Highland, Fr Cables and GNC, concluded here at the Royal Palm Cricket arena yesterday, bringing cheers and glory for the ultimate winners, Lahore Lions.
Lions emerged triumphant after some hectic battles along the way and a particularly hostile one against the runners-up, Indus Wariors. This four-day activity saw quite a few individual feats of brilliance.
The winners of this combative championship, Lahore Lions were all fighters to the core in every area of the game. Pacer Omer Salamat varied his pace at will, unnerving the batting stars of his opponent teams. His team mate Junaid Ahmed milked runs aggressively.
Other team mates who lent some forceful support were Tanveer Karamat, Sheraz Khawaja and Junaid Ashraf. Tanveer Karamat was declared man of the tournament.
