LAHORE - The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Friday took out a rally to condemn the desecration of the Quran by Pastor Terry Jones. The protestors marched from the LHCBA to the Mall at GPO Chowk, where they raised slogans condemning the incident. Earlier the bar held a meeting in which they decided to take out this rally. In the general house meeting, they demanded the government approach the International Court of Justice for Jones's trial.

LAHORE - A general house meeting of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) was held on Friday, and condemned the attack on Raza Kazim and his son Ali Raza Kazim on the premises of the Supreme Court.
Raza Kazim and his son appeared before the SC's bench as PTV's lawyers in a case against a private TV channel. When they came out of the courtroom they were insulted and beaten up by some men, allegedly from the private TV channel against which they were pursuing the case.

LAHORE - The bold, open and sustained support by PPP leader and former Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan helped the pro-judiciary Professional Group of Hamid Khan to win the Lahore High Court bar Association (LHCBA) election on Saturday. The situation changed in favour of Hamid's presidential candidate Asghar Ali Gill when Aitzaz, flanked by the Professional Group members, entered into the bar premises and cast his vote.

LAHORE - The Professional Group led by Hamid Khan won the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) elections, as its candidate for the presidential slot Asghar Ali Gill won by defeating Rai Bashir of the Friends Alliance, which was backed by Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Asma Jahangir and Federal Law Minister Senator Dr Babar Awan. Gill secured 4,172 votes against Bashir's 2,610.
