LAHORE: Doctors Eleven and SPM Colts won their respective matches of the 4th SPM League Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday.
In the first match of the Professional Group, Doctors Eleven beat Lahore Gymkhana by six wickets.

Doctors manhandled, Mayo OPD shut down

LAHORE: Mayo Hospital doctors closed the Out Patients Department (OPD) on Wednesday in protest against the manhandling of medical staff, including two female colleagues, by families of two patients who succumbed to bullet injuries in the hospital's surgical wards late on Tuesday night.
The two patients were being treated for serious bullet injuries in the north surgical and east surgical wards of Mayo Hospital for the last several days.

Mayo Hospital Superintendent denies doctor’s negligence

Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Zahid Pervaiz has claimed that the doctors of Mayo Hospital were not negligent whilst treating a patient, who died on October, 11.
He said that the patient, Shehzad, was being treated by an unqualified doctor before he was brought to the hospital on Friday October 8. The unqualified doctor had prescribed the wrong treatment, which led to the spread of infection in the patient's body.
