Wanted SSP Malir Rao Anwaar has requested the Supreme Court to provide him adequate protection as he feels his life is at risk.
Furthermore, he has also called the room service at the Marriott, Islamabad for the second time for some ice to be brought up to his room.
“Yes, the infamous policeman has again written to the Supreme Court after being given protective bail from the apex court,” said Barrister Rasheed Hassan, senior legal analyst.
“He has also reiterated his demand from the room service at the Marriot Hotel, Islamabad, for more ice to be delivered to his room. He also enquired what was taking so long.”
Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies are still unable to trace the SSP, who had been ordered to be produced in front of the court. “We are trying our best to nab the man,” said Fayyaz Bhatti, Deputy Director at the FIA.
“He is going to be undone by the trail he is leaving behind from his attempts at communication from hiding. We are trying to make sense of the metadata of the WhatsApp messages he has been sending the Sindh Police, the paper trail of the letter he sent the apex court. And, of course, our best sleuths are trying to figure out what “Room #203, Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, means.”
