Development works in the PTI-governed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been left in a state of disarray after the government destroyed scores of recently-constructed schools, hospitals, dams and other installations by blocking popular social networking platforms Facebook and Twitter.
“It was a bloody mess, with so much of our hard work being nullified during the course of this most horrific blackout,” said Atif Khan, KP education minister. “All our hard work was destroyed.”
“All our initiatives in the health sector were also affected,” said Shahram Tarakai, KP health minister. “Only the work done till before the PTI took over has been saved.”
“And the trees,” he continued, tears running down his eyes. “Let us not forget those billion trees.”
“That’s right: one, followed by nine zeroes. A billion trees. All laid to waste by a cruel, vindictive government.”
