BAHRIA TOWN – The void left in the Pakistan Test team by the outgoing Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan would be filled by a new housing society, The Dependent has learnt.

According to sources Real Estate tycoon Malik Riaz will add to his collection of Bahria Towns by constructing its latest edition in the Pakistani middle-order.

“Malak saab has set his eyes on the vastest acres of unoccupied land in all of Pakistan,” a Bahria Town official told The Dependent. “And when Malak saab sets his eyes on something he usually gets it.”

Sources have also confirmed that the new Bahria Town would encompass the entire area of the fourth and fifth batting positions in the Pakistani Test lineup.

Real Estate analysts believe that while Pakistan cricket would have to deal with carrying a housing society in place of two batsmen, the overall results on the field would further improve.

“This is Pakistan’s best way of winning the ICC Test Mace again that they have won with Misbah and Younis in the middle-order,” says Asad Bhatti from Bachu Property Dealers. “Sure it might be a bit unconventional, but eventually Malik Riaz produces the desired result.”

Bhatti said the move could help Pakistan cricket get away from the spot-fixing menace once and for all.

“I believe Malik Riaz would just purchase the entire gambling industry if he needs to,” he said.

Former captain and senior cricket commentator Ramiz Raja has also lauded the reports.

“I think the hole needs to be filled with something that sticks. Let’s hope PCB doesn’t blow it away courtesy short-sightedness,” said Raja.
