Tolerance is inseparable from love, we easily forgive the errors and the sins of those we love; we hardly forgive those we dont love. Love makes us tolerant; its lack makes us intolerant. Today, the people of the world are impatient and intolerant. However, all religions of the world advise their followers to have patience and tolerance in all matters of life. But we forget the teachings of our religions and make our own rules and laws to win the game of world.
Tolerance isnt only linked to love. Its also dependent on information. Only those we know themselves, and have a contemporary view of human nature, can be tolerant. If we value our reasons too much, if our bad humours are taken too seriously or if we dont recognise the relative value of our ideas or see ourselves as superior to others, with a superior culture or God, we become intolerant, and the intolerance becomes the cause of conflicts and wars.
As a society, we strive to put labels on conditions, issues or those things we know little about. It does nothing to help us understand, but it gives the illusion we know what were talking about. So, whats the basis of racial intolerance? Same as the basis for any other intolerance. We rebel against that which we know nothing or very little rather than get close enough to really understand it. So, we suffer.
Tolerance and patience do not give us reasons to live happily and calmly but open the ways for the others to enjoy the happiness of life in richness and poverty. If we spend our lives with patience and tolerance, we may be the successful people of this world and hereafter as it has been said Patience and perseverance remove the difficulties and obstacles in life with their magical effects.
