Still have a chance for semis if we pass through wormhole and go back in time, say nation’s physicists

The nation should not lose hope as there is still a possibility for Pakistan to make it to the semi-final four of the 2019 ICC World Cup by going through a wormhole back in time to the Group Matches stage.

“If only our cricket team were to pass through a path of warped space-time, more commonly known as a ‘wormhole,’, said Professor Sajid Yousafzai, chairman of the Quaid-e-Azam University Physics Department, “we would be able to eke out a circumstance where it could make it to the semis.”

“We could build a Casimir machine that could generate ‘negative energy’, enabling said wormhole,” said Dr Saira Cheema, associate professor at the Centre for High Energy Physics (CHEP), Punjab University. “In this highly unstable space, we could generate some stability and send the playing eleven and the PCB social media team through the wormhole.”

“We need to exercise some caution, however,” said Professor Pervez Hoodhbhoy over at the Forman Christian College University. “There needs to be a lot of calibration. If it is slightly off, we might send the team back to 1992, where we would risk losing the one World Cup that we have.”
