LAHORE – Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq believes India’s Rahul Gandhi has lobbying flaws that have prevented him from becoming the best politician in India, and has offered to coach him to improve his politics.

Razzaq’s offer comes after Rahul Gandhi resigned as leader of India’s main opposition Congress party, as he took responsibility for the party’s defeat in the recent general election.

In a series of tweets, Razzaq said Gandhi’s game had weaknesses which needed to be worked upon.

“I have been closely observing Rahul Gandhi and I see a lot of faults in his head balance while taking hard-hitting decisions – which he ends up not taking. I observed his foot work, when moving through Congress rallies and I see that has also let him down sometimes,” Razzaq wrote on Twitter.

“If I can give him coaching, for example in the UAE, I can make him one of the best politicians, if not the best. If the Congress party wants to make him a better politician I will always be available. Thanks,” he added.

It remains to be seen if Congress and Rahul Gandhi take up Razzaq’s offer, but sources close to the former star all-rounder reveal that he has formally made the offer to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as well, and will take up whichever position is offered first.
