MAKKAH – In what was yet another major diplomatic triumph for Pakistan, India was not invited as the guest of honour at the 14th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit in Makkah.

India, which was the guest of honour at the OIC meeting in Abu Dhabi on March 1, while it was at war with Pakistan, was given a befitting response by Islamabad which ensured that New Delhi didn’t get invited this time.

“Cunning India had managed to not only be a part of the OIC, it had managed to do so as the guest of honour,” Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said while talking to The Dependent. “It managed to become the guest of honour at an Islamic cooperation meeting, while it was at war with an Islamic republic and using state force to maintain its occupation over an Islamic separatist movement,” Qureshi added.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister said that the Muslim Ummah stood united against the cunning Islamophobic plans of New Delhi, and will not invite India to be a guest of honour at an OIC meeting.

“At least not any time soon,” Qureshi said. “That’s what I was told when I asked about the guest of honour situation. So yes, India won’t be the guest of honour in the near future, which is a befitting reply to them for the war that they initiated earlier this year and for managing to breach the Muslim Ummah at OIC at the same time.”
