theLAHORE/RAWALPINDI – Former interior minister and veteran politician Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday brought to an end uncertainty about his association with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader and announced parting ways with Nawaz Sharif after a relationship that he claims lasted more than 35 years.
Addressing a press conference here at Wah Cantonment, he said: “I am not with Nawaz anymore.”
Chaudhry Nisar said he had taken a decision according to his conscience. The disgruntled lover said he can no longer let himself be left to hang.
“I have been with Nawaz for a long time. My way is love, his way is power – the power that he exercises over me, and my emotions,” he added.
Nisar said he is still in relationships with many senior leaders of the PML-N, but, he added, “I have said many times I am not anymore a part of Nawsar – or as I preferred to call us, Nisaz”.
The former federal minister said a conspiracy was being hatched to weaken his relationships on multiple fronts. He held both the government and the opposition responsible for the ongoing turmoil in his personal life.
Later, talking exclusively to The Dependent, Nisar confessed that the final nail in the coffin of Nawsar, or Nisaz, was hammered last week.
