Visiting US Senator Lindsey Graham, while praising Prime Minister Imran Khan, compared him to US President Donald Trump, a man whom he had called a ‘jackass’ in the run up to the 2016 elections.
Senator Graham said PM Khan was an agent of change, much like President Trump, a man whose choice as president for the US he called ‘like getting shot in the head.’
Imran Khan should meet President Donald Trump soon, the best best of whose promise to ‘make America great again’ was to ‘kill Donald Trump’ according to Senator Graham.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham was asked in during the Republican Primaries (intra-party elections) about which of the two front-runners he would like as the Grand Old Party’s candidate for President. He had replied that it was like asking to choose between being poisoned or shot in the head.
He had likened Ted Cruz to the poison. While ultimately – and reluctantly – endorsing Senator Cruz, he said “for poison, at least there might be an antidote.”
