ISLAMABAD – Working overtime to fulfill his primary responsibility as the spokesperson of the government, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday took to the streets of Islamabad, asking pedestrians if they had heard of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman.

“Two big boxes with extra chutney,” said the Federal Information Minister to a French fries vender at the Jinnah Super Market. “Oh and have you ever heard of someone called Sherry Rehman?” Chaudhry further asked.

“Sorry, but who are you?” counter questioned a mother of two, at the entrance of Centaurus Mall, when Chaudhry posed the same question to her.

Organisations holding independent surveys have informed The Dependent that “sorry, but who are you” was the most popular reply to Chaudhry’s question.

Meanwhile, only noting down the responses in the negative to his questionnaire, Chaudhry concluded that no one in the capital city knew who Sherry Rehman was.

The Federal Information Minister dutifully tweeted the result of the survey that he had personally conducted.

“People of Islamabad have actually never heard of a woman senator @sherryrehman, so she owes me a big ThankYou,afterall my tweet introduced her to the nation,” Chaudhry tweeted tagging Sherry Rehman.

At press time, Fawad Chaudhry was still looking for a waste bin of history to dump his boxes of fries.
