Fakhr-e-Alam released by authorities after threatening to perform Bhangra Rap at Russian airport
YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK – Singer and entertainer Fakhr-e-Alam was released by Russian authorities at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport after he threatened to perform Bhangra Rap, it emerged on Tuesday.
Alam, who had been detained at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport, after he landed in the country with an expired visa, took matters, and a loosely misplaced mic, in his own hands, as he looked to enter a country he wasn’t legally allowed to.
“Mundeyo tay kuriy…” Alam began signing triggering a terror alert at the airport, and prompting the entire security drill to take place.
Unraveled, Alam took on the challenge with higher intensity, and lower pitch.
“Tuanu ki aey maaloom aey hai bhangra ki … I am a bhangra addicted human being, without bhangra jeena hai mushkil extreme,” he sang.
“Pa jee aao meray naal tussi vi, together we will put the bhangra fashion free,” he added addressing the security guards who were handcuffing him.
After a few hours Alam was given a new visa.
“I have just received a new visa. I am now preparing the airplane and ready to go to Petropavovask airport. Thank you to all of my friends, well wishers and cowriters of Bhangra Rap.”
