DUBAI – In line with the visible work ethic that coach Mickey Arthur has instilled in the national side, Pakistani cricketers have continued to exhibit absolute dedication to their profession by creating practice pitches on the sides of their hair.

The dedication was visible as Pakistan took on Hong Kong in their opening match of the competition. Three star cricketers Hassan Ali, Shadab Khan and Mohammed Amir all showcased the practice pitches on the sides of their head.

“The pitches clearly look freshly prepared for the Asia Cup, but one can see they’ve been used, underlining the fact that these Pakistani boys are training hard,” former Australian batsman and Islamabad United coach Dean Jones said while talking to The Dependent.

Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raza was similarly impressed.

“What a fantastic display from these young lads. Sometimes you can reveal too much but they know about the skin and the firmness of the deck – especially since they are ones with the balls in their hands. Let’s just hope that they don’t blow any trumpets,” he said.

Veteran sports analyst Nauman Niaz also lauded the Pakistani trio for their efforts.

“This troika has precipitously manifested verisimilitudinous staunchness through a metaphorical and metaphysical erasure of a scantily voluminous quantity of hair,” he said.

The team would be using these pitches to bounce back following a resounding defeat against India
