LAHORE – In what is being dubbed a positive development for the party ahead of the upcoming general elections, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has been revealed as the third largest party in terms of popularity at the Bilawal House in Lahore’s Bahria Town, according to the latest Gallup survey.
The survey that was conducted over the weekend when a large number of the Bhutto-Zardari family were inside Bilawal House revealed that the PPP is next only to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) in an area that carries significant political importance in the capital of Punjab.
“This proves that those saying the PPP isn’t present in Punjab will soon be eating their own words,” PPP central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira said while talking to The Dependent.
“Such developments prove that PPP will be a force to reckon with in Punjab as well, and it might even give a ticket to someone in the constituency where Bilawal House is.”
Former PPP Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo who is contesting the elections as an independent candidate agrees that the survey result is positive for his former party.
“Yes, the Gallup survey could’ve revealed that there is no such thing as Bilawal House in Lahore,” he said.
