LAHORE – Pakistani left-handed batsman Fawad Alam was named in a 25-player list as part of the initial Test Camp scheduled between April 11 and 15 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, to ensure that the cult of Faadi remains, a selector has confirmed.

Talking exclusively to The Dependent a selector, who wished anonymity citing the grave seriousness of the matter, confirmed that the move was ‘purely political’.

“We want the cult of Faadi to not just remain, but also grow,” he told this scribe. “So yes even though he will eventually be dropped, but he was selected in the initial training camp as a purely political move.”

The selector confirmed that there is also a chance that Fawad Alam might be further shortlisted, but that too would be to fuel the cult.

“You never know he might even be selected in the final squad, but believe me he will not be in the starting 11 – that would just demolish the cult,” he said. “We don’t want the cult do die. Long live Faadism!” added the selector who is a radical Faadist, currently undercover at the Pakistan Cricket Board.

“Faadi ko khilao BC!”
