ISLAMABAD/LAHORE/KARACHI/PESHAWAR/QUETTA – Nation’s employees want Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to also serve as the nation’s HR manager, after he gave Finance Minister Ishaq Dar three-month paid leave.
Rallies were carried out in the capital, along with every provincial capital, in support of PM Abbasi taking up another job, after his tenure as bench-warmer premier was extended till 2018, his considerable liabilities in the Petroleum Ministry and now his role as the de facto finance minister.
#PM4HRM signifying Prime Minister for Human Resource Manager has been the top Twitter trend in Pakistan all week, as Twitterati launched the campaign digitally as well.
“I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have had to apply the three month leave on the panel, which despite repeated complaints to the HR doesn’t work,” complained a protestor in front of the Karachi Press Club.
“So what he’ll just have to mark in with his thumb once and then out after three months? How will it work?” asked another protestor in Islamabad.
“If he gets a casual leave of three months, how long must his annual leaves be!” wondered another in Peshawar.
