LAHORE – Members of the Pakistan Test squad, currently training for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka in the UAE, have expressed concerns over the fact that the camp is being held inside the Gaddafi Stadium without any additional security.

According to inside sources the Pakistan cricket team is now divided into two groups – those who participated in the Independence Cup and are comparing the security that had been reserved for World XI with that assigned to them – and those who are not a part of the T20 squad and hence feel even more left out.

“I mean our lives are important too, no?” commented a frontline batsman of the Pakistan national side. “Yes, there is the regular protocol, but it would’ve been nice to see a high alert here and there for us as well,” he added.

Another cricketer, who also participated in the Independence Cup, expressed similar sentiments while talking to The Dependent.

“I’ve only just begun to realise that everything last week was about them and not us,” he said. “I mean, come to think of it, there really won’t be any traffic jams for us, would there?” he asked.

Further insiders reveal that there is growing envy for South African ace spinner Imran Tahir.
