NEW YORK – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday was surprised by the staggering difference in how US President Donald Trump looks in pictures and videos as compared to how he is actually like in person, when he met with US Vice President Mike Pence on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.

As the two sides resolved to remain engaged and carry forward the relationship that has been on a downward trajectory since announcement of the US policy for Afghanistan and South Asia, PM Abbasi couldn’t helped but notice how Trump’s hair looked in complete contrast to the orange fluff that the former Petroleum Minister would actually love to touch to check if its real.

Abbasi’s meeting with VP Pence, the highest contact between the two sides since the policy was announced on Aug 21, was the Pakistani Prime Minister’s first interaction with Donald Trump.

Abbasi and Pence agreed to work together to carry forward the bilateral relationship and discussed matters relating to peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region, while also agreeing to share more recent pictures of each other on WhatsApp following the United Nations General Assembly’s session.

At press time, US Vice President Mike Pence, who reassured the Pakistani PM of exploring ways so that the two countries can work more closely to advance security throughout the region, couldn’t help but remark to himself how different Nawaz Sharif looks in person.
