WAPDA employees stage demo against police

KASUR - The local WAPDA employees observed a comlete strike and took a rally against the police for not arresting the accused involved in the attack on their office. Reportedly, the powerloom workers and local residents protested against the Wapda over unscheduled loadshedding in Kasur on Monday.

LAHORE - LESCO won the WAPDA Inter-Unit Bodybuilding Championship by scoring 59 points here on Sunday. NTDC remained runners-up with 45 points and GEPCO got third position with 39 points. LESCO bodybuilder Ishfaq Butt was declared Mr. WAPDA 2011.

SSGC beat wapda – Customs clinch Jr Hockey title

LAHORE - Customs won the 30th U19 Junior National Hockey Championship when they outscored NBP in a penalty shootout in the final match, played at Bahawalpur Hockey Stadium. Meanwhile, SSGC beat WAPDA to secure the third place in the championship.

LAHORE - An accountability court adjourned on Friday the hearing of a reference filed against former Water and Power Development Authority and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Lt General (r) Zahid Ali Akbar till March 11.
