JERUSALEM - Israel has removed scaffolding which was limiting access to the Little Western Wall, a key Jewish site in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City, residents and officials said on Friday. News of the move was first revealed in the Haaretz newspaper, which said it was geared towards improving access for worshippers to the site, which is considered holy by Jews.

JERUSALEM: Israel's cabinet on Sunday approved plans to invest millions of shekels in a five-year project to expand the plaza next to the Western Wall, one of Judaism's holiest sites in Jerusalem's Old City.
The plans to improve access to the site were outlined in a statement from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which said it would invest 85 million shekels (23 million dollars, 17 million euros) in the project.

Low-intensity blast damages Nawab Town chowki wall
LAHORE: A low intensity bomb exploded along the wall of Chowki Nawab Town on Raiwind Road in the Sattukatla Police precincts late on Sunday night. Unknown suspects are speculated to have planted a low intensity bomb along the wall of Chowki Nawab Town which went off at about 8:30 pm with a loud sound. No casualties were suffered due to the explosion.
