HRCP demands lawful treatment of tenant marchers
LAHORE - The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has expressed concern at registration of cases in Khanewal against hundreds of tenants under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Young doctors outside PA – No emergency treatment
LAHORE - The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has decided not to attend to emergency patients in public sector hospitals and has announced penalising the doctors who dare disobey the announcement.
"The doctors will not even attend to government servants, police officials or secretariat employees. No young doctor will offer his services in emergency and if any doctor violated the order, he will be punished by YDA office bearers," said YDA President Dr Hamid Butt.

Wastewater treatment plant for Pak Navy’s golf club inaugurated
KARACHI - Navy officials inaugurated a wastewater treatment plant at the Western Wind Golf Club at PNAD Mauripur on Wednesday. The plant has been designed and developed by the National Water Engineering. The project would provide 50,000 gallons per day reusable water for irrigation purpose, saving over millions of rupees to maintain the green lustre of the golf course. GUJRANWALA - Gujranwala Central Jail Superintendent Malik Zia-ud-Din has requested the Punjab IG prisons to sanction a drug treatment centre in the jail for addicted prisoners. In a letter, the superintendent revealed that Gujranwala District and Sessions Judge Kazim Raza Shamsi and Hafizabad DSJ Sheikh Muhammad Yousaf, during their visit to the jail on October 27, 2010, had ordered the establishment of such centre due to the miserable condition of the addicts.
