LAHORE - The Pakistan Hockey Federation has announced a new selection committee, comprising Olympian Abdul Hanif Khan (chairman), Khalid Bashir and Mohammad Arshad Chaudhary (members).
The PHF nominated Hassan Sardar and Manzoor Hussain Junior as technocrats in the PHF Executive Board. Zafar Ali Khan and M. Asad Malik have been relieved from the executive board. One seat of technocrat still remains vacant. The issue will be discussed in the board meeting.

Provincial Selection Board to meet again on Monday
LAHORE - The Provincial Selection Board (PSB-I) met on Saturday to consider promotion cases of officers in grade 18 and upwards, but remained inconclusive and will meet on Monday again, Pakistan Today has learnt.
The PSB-I is headed by the chief secretary, with the additional chief secretary, finance secretary, services secretary, special branch additional inspector general, regulations secretary, MPDD secretary and others are on board.

KARACHI: Things have started to appear ambiguous as the annual election of the board of directors of Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) gets nearer. Various perceptions are currently hovering over the country's largest bourse. According to KSE sources, some 170 active members would be electing five out of nine candidates, most of them new faces, to the directorship of KSE for the calendar year 2011 on December 29.

Confused Kamran seeks reasons for selection snub
LAHORE: Pakistan's discarded wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal is seeking explanation from PCB about the reasons of his omission from the selection amid news that the International Cricket Council has reused to clear him and two other players for the World Cup, it was learnt on Thursday. After being axed, Kamran said that he would be meeting PCB officials to seek a clarification as to why he was dropped from the team despite performing well in domestic cricket.
