LAHORE - The father of a youth, Muhammad Imran, killed in Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi's procession has demanded Punjab government to take action against his son's murderers.

ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has prepared recommendations for the appointment of Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman as the chief justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) while Anwar Kansi and Riyaz Khan its judges, officials said.

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday approved the nomination of Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry as chief justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
According to President's spokesman Farhatullah Babar, the parliamentary committee formed under the 18th Amendment unanimously confirmed Justice Ijaz's name for appointment as LHC chief justice.
