ISLAMABAD - The crime rate in the federal capital saw a surge last week as bandits kept striking at will. As many as 16 robberies and 15 cases of carjacking were reported in the capital's police stations. LAHORE - Four people died while several were injured in separate incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.
COOKED: A man was gunned down over some old rivalry in Northern Cantonment police precincts on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Saleem (32), a resident of Harripur. According to the police, Saleem had an old rivalry with a group in his native city Haripur and he had shifted to Lahore to get rid of the rivalry and worked as a cook in a house in Defence Phase 8.

A young woman committed suicide by swallowing pesticide tablets after she had a row with her younger sister.
Shahdara Town police said that Ayesha quarreled with her younger sister on Saturday which led her to swallow pesticide tablets. Her family took her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced her dead.
The body of the deceased was handed over to her family after the completion of legal procedures.

Anti Vehicle Lifting Staff Iqbal Town Division arrested two alleged car lifters of Irshad alias Shada Car Lifter Gang including its ringleader on Friday. 9 cars worth 40 lakh rupees have been recovered from their possession. The accused were reported to have confessed to 9 cases of car lifting during preliminary interrogation. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Aslam Tareen has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
