LAHORE: A petition is filed before the Lahore High Court challenging the alleged move of Punjab governor to get blasphemy convict Aasia Bibi pardoned.
The petition filed by Chuadhry Shahid Iqbal Advocate asks the court to declare proceedings carried out by government of Punjab, the Governor of Punjab and the Federal Law Ministry to Aasia Bibi acquitted of the blasphemy charge be declared illegal and unlawful.

LAHORE: Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Mohsin Raza on Saturday disposed the case against College of Earth and Environmental Sciences Principal Prof Dr Iftikhar Hussain Baloch.
Baloch's counsel Chaudhary Tanveer Akhtar argued Baloch was out of Lahore on leave at the reported time of the harassment. He produced documentary evidence in the court in this regard. Police had already declared the accused innocent on the basis of his absence from Lahore.

Federal Implementation Commission to meet Punjab officials
LAHORE: The Federal Implementation Commission members would meet Punjab government departments officials on Monday to sort out different "contentious" issues related to dissolution of federal ministries, Pakistan Today has learnt.
The federal government had announced transferring 10 federal ministries to provinces, while Federal Finance Minister Dr Hafeez Shaikh had announced that five federal ministries would be shifted to provinces under the 18th Amendment by end of 2010.
