PCB bans Nasir Jamshed for 10 years over spot-fixing

LAHORE: Cricketer Nasir Jamshed on Friday was banned for 10 years by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over spot-fixing investigations.

The anti-corruption tribunal of the cricket board declared Jamshed guilty of violating its code of conduct under Articles 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3, 2.1.4 and 2.4.4 during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2017.

Jamshed was previously banned for one year due to non-cooperation with spot-fixing investigations.

The decision against Jamshed was reserved on August 16.

The left-handed opening batsman has also been banned from holding any cricket management role for life.
