Expressing annoyance at the reaction that the ECP is eliciting from the media and the masses, Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan on Wednesday asked the nation to give the ECP time and space given the complex nature of the act of writing down numbers and feeding them in computer.

“I don’t see what all the fuss is about. This stuff isn’t easy. There are a lot of numbers and a lot of computers and a lot of feeding and it gets really confusing” he said speaking to a press conference.

“Look counting things and putting them in a computer is the calling of scientists, philosophers and polymaths. And when things get so complex, so dark, so mysterious, and so extra terrestrial, delays are understandable – expected – no wait, encouraged in fact” he went on to say.

“Did anyone ever try to push the greats to reach life’s greatest answers? No. And here you guys are bashing us up for being late by a few hours and then again.”

“Sheesh” he ended.
