The Privatisation Commission of Pakistan has announced a trophy hunting scheme for PIA planes with the new Markhor-themed livery.

Sources close to Privatisation Commission Minister Daniyal Aziz have confirmed that the plans for the trophy hunting scheme have been in the works for long, and that the new Markhor-themed planes have only provided the commission with the ideal opportunity to go ahead with the project.

“There has been great interest in the trophy hunting of PIA planes in the past, and we have indeed flirted with the idea and possible suitors before, but this is the best opportunity we have found” said the source.

“The new Markhor planes just give the hunt an even more dynamic element” they added.

Meanwhile, speaking to The Dependent, Daniyal Aziz explained that a number of interested hunters were already pitching amounts to take a shot at the Markhor planes.

“You see the PIA is the national airline of the country, so there has always been great interest among hunters for it, especially since it has become endangered. And the Markhor is the country’s national animal, so the interest has increased exponentially” he said.

“We are already fielding offers from the Germans, the Dutch and even some locals interested in the idea. There has also been some small offers by a few Arab countries, but these are expected to go up once we explain all the benefits jet fuel from the Markhor planes can have on certain, um, delicate areas of the human body” he ended.
