GBLA demands VC’s appointment in Baltistan University

ISLAMABAD: Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) on Monday approved a unanimous resolution demanding of the federal government for the appointment of vice-chancellor in Baltistan University.

The resolution was tabled in the house by Minister Muhammad Akbar Taban and member Imtiaz Haider.

The house paid tributes to President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for starting classes in Baltistan University.

Responding to a call attention notice, Chief Minister Hafeezur Rehman informed the house that efforts were underway for the payment of compensation to the flood affectees in GB.
