LAHORE – Railways Minister Saad Rafique on Thursday revealed that he had come up with 85% of the ‘mujhay kyun nikaala’ memes, now a trademark of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Rafique also said that he came up with the tagline as well, while the former PM planned his GT Road rally in the aftermath of his disqualification.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan seemed to take personal affront to veiled suggestions by certain PML-N leaders that he was the one who discouraged the spread of the memes.
Nisar, in a statement on Thursday, clarified that the ‘mujhay kyun nikaala’ memes had been made during meetings of senior party leadership, which was attended by him, Nawaz Sharif and PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
“Colouring such a straightforward decision with the crafty use of video clips is very unfortunate,” Nisar told The Dependent.
However, Saad Rafique, while speaking to journalists outside Parliament Lodges, claimed he was the one who actually designed most of the memes on Photoshop himself.
