SUKKUR: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said that the ‘government does not exist anymore’.
“A grand alliance is created each time elections are held,” Shah said, adding that the PPP won’t support a unity government. He added that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wants elections to be held on time and the government to complete its tenure.
Earlier on Monday, the ruling party — Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) — attempted to approach the PPP in light of the delimitation bill that was to be presented in the Senate.
According to a statement by Shah, PML-N had approached him through its ally Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai. “Achakzai requested our (PPP’s) support on the delimitation bill,” he said.
He also said that his party does not believe in any ‘undemocratic’ and ‘unconstitutional’ process.
