Dengue cases declining in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The mercury is falling and with it the number of dengue cases are also declining, which has provided relief to all those involved in dengue eradication drive in the city.

Talking to reporters, the Punjab Health Department Executive Officer Dr Suhail Chaudhry said that the chilly weather had set in soon this year, which had subsequently led to a decrease in the number of dengue patients in the city.

He said that larvae identification activities would still be carried out according to plans, and inhabitants of most affected areas should also remain alert by adopting precautionary measures.

Dr Suhail directed the officials concerned to speed up anti-dengue activities, while warning them to show no laxity in the line of duty.
