Smog causes flight delays in Lahore, Multan

LAHORE/MULTAN: Domestic and international flights to and from Lahore and Multan encountered delays as smog continues to hinder the daily lives of the residents.

Passengers crowded the airports as over 60 flights coming to and from the provincial capital were cancelled.

The fog also blanketed Multan compelling the delay of five flights to and from the city.

According to the Met office, rain expected in the coming days will settle the smog which has been prevalent in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the last couple of days.

On Friday, hundreds of passengers were stranded at the Allama Iqbal International Airport as almost 70 international and domestic flights were delayed due to thick smog.
