MIRANSHAH – For centuries, life has been treated as a binary in terms of existence. You are either dead or alive.

However, the medical world now has to rethink that belief. Scientists recently determined that a human being can exist in both states. But there happens to be a catch.

Scientists from Miranshah Institute of Technology (MIT) have confirmed the multistate nature of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) chief Omar Khalid Khorasani by examining his existence on either side of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

The researchers first discovered the phenomenon with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazlullah who was long believed to be multistate. However, the lack of data, especially in the past year or so, has meant that his state has been considered dead on both sides.

Even so, with Khorasani being found dead in Afghanistan and alive in Pakistan in the past week, the researchers have cracked the code of how a human can exist both in alive and dead states – but never in the same state, nation-state that is.

This doesn’t mean that the scientific community understands exactly how this phenomenon takes place. With that in mind, the very act of classifying a person as dead or alive, in terms of which country they are found in, should have a far-reaching impact.
