Talk but don’t you dare criticise

You are welcome, come join us, have a dinner, but dont you dare speak a word on any outstanding issue between us. This reads funny but this is actually what the Foreign Minister of India has conveyed to Pakistani authorities. It is like putting the prisoner in a straightjacket and then telling him that he is being rehabilitated.

The patronising behaviour of India is quite obvious in this statement. Now that the Indian economy is on the surge and major world powers have put their weight behind India, it is even more imperative for us to find diplomatic solutions to our mutual problems. Gag and drag wont work. Mutual cooperation is the key to move forward.
