Let them play

A very popular saying is a person is innocent until proven guilty. But in reality what is happening is we hear, read or watch a report on international media and start propagating it on the same lines without any verification of what the reality is.

There have been allegations on our cricket players and the cases are yet to be decided. But most of us have become so emotional that we withdraw our players from the game, doing exactly what the propagandists want. Why we bring our players under so much psychological pressure that even if they play they are not focused due to conflicts in their mind about their future.

It is not forces from outside who are letting us down. We ourselves are playing in the hands of those who are all the time manipulating the situations to malign the image of our country. Why should we stop our players from playing? What if tomorrow it is proved that all the allegations are false? Time is gone, and opportunity lost.

Let us not fall prey to sinister designs of any enemy, whether it is sports or entertainment. Let our players play until proven guilty. Protect them and consider them as an asset of the nation. These are national issues where jumping to conclusions is not justified.
