If a doctor does not see an ailment, there is no possibility of a remedy. Our PM has stated that he does not see any corruption in his government.

It seems the whole country is having nightmares, while those in government consider that all is well. Perhaps the government’s concept of an acceptable level of corruption is more than the capacity of this country to absorb and for its people to endure.

If this government had the will to arrest the rampant corruption that prevails in Pakistan, it would have appointed independent and honest individuals as Chairman NAB, Attorney General, Auditor General and given them powers to prosecute any body violating the law and pilfering the state.

Till date not a single high official, or minister has been charged and punished for corruption. Nobody in government seems to be bothered by the hue and cry raised by the international media, donor and international financial agencies or the numerous scams that are uncovered almost daily.

From Rental Power, to Sugar Cartel, to PIA, NICL, Railways, PSO, NHA, PASSCO, TCP, NBP etc all seems to be going well in the opinion of our PM. Let us pray for divine intervention, because our elected leadership refuses to save this country from corruption mafia.
