The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday rejected a police report presented in connection with the Moon Garden apartments’ case as ‘unsatisfactory’.

A two-judge bench of Sajjad Ali Shah and Junaid Ghafar rejecting the report, ordered Sindh Police chief Ghulam Haider Jamali and Karachi Additional IG Mushtaq Mehar to submit a detailed report within a week.

The report, submitted by the police chiefs, detailed that 70 out of 180 flats had already been evacuated whereas 27 flats were evacuated on the court’s order.

The court also rejected the residents’ plea to become party to the case and also lifted the interim stay. Moreover, the court accepted Sindh IGP and Additional IGP’s pleas for exemption from appearance.
