PM’s adviser rules out hot pursuit inside Afghan territory
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said that Pakistan does not blame India’s external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), for the Peshawar school attack that left at least 148 people dead, most of them children.
Addressing a ceremony, Aziz urged the SAARC countries to agree upon efforts for rooting out terrorism instead of playing blame game against each other.
He said that Pakistan would not conduct raids inside Afghanistan, adding that a meeting of the National Security Council would soon be convened to discuss all security issues.
“Peace could be restored by intelligence sharing and taking action against terrorists in own territories,” the adviser said, adding that Afghanistan has assured Pakistan of taking action against terrorists in its territory.
Dismissing an impression that the government’s appeal against Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi bail’s was filed on Indian pressure, the PM’s adviser said that Lakhvi’s detention was his country’s own decision.
“Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s detention is necessary till the hearing of government’s appeal challenging his bail,” Aziz said.
He expressed hope that Samjhota Express case hearing would complete soon.
A sane voice …. yes, time to stop the blame game and focus on the task in hand.
He is too naive. India in 100% behind it but our leaders have to courage to say anything because their kids and businesses are outside the country and will be frozen if they do this. Lets first kill all TTP or their supporter in Media and society or like Taliban Khan because they are the one executing the wishes of RAW.
Why has Pak for all these years never expressed willingness to work with India on a cross-border terror issue? And even today they fail to approach India to work with them, why?
