According to media reports, Speaker Balochistan Assembly has refused to convene assembly session on the advice of chief minister secretariat. Party membership of Chief Minister Balochistan has been suspended for three months by Kalat district PPP president for going against PPP policies. This means there is revolt against Mr Raisani in the party. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has already given a clear verdict about the failure of the provincial government in the matter of governance. This is a grave situation for the province. People want to know what justification there is for Mr Aslam Raisani to continue as the executive head of the provincial government under these circumstances. Balochistan is facing serious political and constitutional challenges. It is time for the federal government to intervene in the interest of people of the province.
