A Lahore High Court (LHC) administration committee, headed by Chief Justice Azmat Saeed on Saturday took various decision regarding the promotion and deferment of judicial officers’ cases.
As per a notification issued by the LHC registrar, the committee promoted 10 additional district & session judges (AD&SJ) to the rank of district & session judge, including Muhammad Saleem, Zafar ullah Khan Tarar, Rana Masood Akhtar, Asif Majeed Awan, Tanveer Akbar, Ikramullah, Shabbir Hussain, Javed Akhtar, Muhammad Rafiq and Khaqan Babar.
Meanwhile, the committee deferred cases of 25 additional session judges for the rank of session judge, including Ali Dastgir Syed, Malik Riaz Ahmad Khokhar, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Abdul Noor Nasir, Khawaja Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Rana Zahoor Ahmad, Jamil Ahmad, Muhammad Akram, Shahid Mahmood, Shaukat Mahmood, Zafar Abbas Sabzwari, Itifaq Abbasi, Musharaf Hassan Sumra, Rao Abdul Jabbar Khan, Sadaqatullah Khan, Subah Sadiq Khan, Faiz Muhammad, Zulfiqar Khan Nasir, Aslam Pervez, Malik Iqbal, Sana Khan Atiq, GM Khan, Khalid Mahmood Ranjha, Tariq Masood Bhatti and Malik Muhammad Nawaz. On the other hand, 10 senior civil judges were promoted to the rank of AD&SJ, including Arshad Hussain, Abdul Rafiq, Zafar Iqbal, Ziaullah, Hyder Amin, Abdul Rehman Arif, Ata Rabbani, Mehmood Haroon Khan, Irfan Haider and Munsif Khan.
AYESHA MALIK ON DEATH THREATS: An AD&SJ on Saturday directed Islampura station house officer (SHO) to record Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Ahad Malik’s daughter, Ayesha Malik’s version, and to act in accordance with the law on her application for registration of case against persons she accused of sending her life threats.The judge ordered the SHO to investigate the matter and file a report in court.
