Police arrests 441 criminals during five days

Operations Wing of Lahore Police have arrested 441 accused during crackdown against proclaimed offenders, court absconders, drug sellers and gamblers during the five days.
During crackdown police have arrested 27 proclaimed offenders and 172 court absconders and have registered cases against them.
Police also smashed four dacoit gangs and arrested their 11 members and recovered stolen property worth Rs 460,000 from them, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
The wing have arrested 71 drug pushers and registered 69 cases against them and seized a huge quantity of narcotics including three and a half kg heroin, 16 kg hashish, and 371 bottles of liquor.
The police also conducted raids at the gambling dens and arrested 69 gamblers besides recovering stake money Rs 310,000. The police also arrested 49 accused from ten brothel houses during crackdown.
During drive against suspected motorcycles and cars, police seized 242 vehicles in different police stations of the city.
The force also arrested 52 persons involved in one-wheeling, aerial firing and illegal use of loudspeaker and registered 44 cases against them, the spokesman added.
