Saying that it would be fine and that there was really no reason, moral or prudent, to worry about the inclusion of disgraced former Pakistan test Captain, Salman Butt, to the ongoing PSL, the nation collectively brushed away one of the darkest periods in its cricketing history.

“Come on, what could go wrong” said the national consciousness, the thought making the country slightly uncomfortable and surprised but also being brushed under the carpet.

“Like, of course the PSL had a corruption scare last season with the whole Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Irfan thing. And Salman Butt was the reason for out national disgrace and Pakistan falling to its lowest point ever, but someone had to replace Mohammad Hafeez” it went on to say.

“And yes of course he isn’t a natural striker that would do well in T20. Can’ even bowl. In fact, more deserving candidates like Fawad Alam exist, but come on, it’s the PSL. What could possibly go wrong.”

“Besides, he’s only joining Lahore. They’re barely even a team. Get knocked out first every year and looks like that’s what it’s going to be like again this year” it said.

“It was so long ago, lmao, does anyone even remember. Not like it’s going to make a bad impression or anything.”

“Of course there’s the moral right-thing-to-do argument but that’s so complicated and nobody really has time for that” ended the nation.
